Choo-Choo

THE CABLES
★★★ Choo-Choo –RCA VICTOR 7839 – An interesting blues with novelty touches. The group hands it a distrinctive reading against good guitar support. (Bradshaw, BMI) (2 :15)

Billboard January 16, 1961

Male vocal group recorded in Los Angeles. The main interest here is the solo of guitar, courtesy of Howard Roberts.

Epiphone Deluxe with a DeArmond pickup----This is the first professional level guitar owned by Howard Roberts. The picture is said to show Howard Roberts (at 19) and Pete Jolly (at 16) playing at a Local 586 Musicians Union party at the Mecca Lounge in Phoenix.
