Susan Cabot worked by day as illustrator of children's books in New York when she was spotted one evening by Max Arnow, casting director for Columbia Pictures at Manhattan’s Village Barn where she supplemented her income by working as a singer.

Susan Cabot is second only to Beverly Garland when it comes to Roger Corman's leading exploitation queens. Cabot graced many Corman quickies in the '50s including such cheapie favorites as The Sage of The Viking Women and their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent (1957).
