Shiva

Krishna Shiva

Down To Heavenly
Included in this file are six of his songs including
the one above (some sort of The Essential Shiva)

If you don't know this artist, be prepared to hear something really special that I find difficult to qualify : hard rock, perhaps, hard to listen, that is for sure.

Legally changed his name to Krishna Shiva :

I ran across a book about Shiva in storage of a chicken coupe I converted for a living space that I rented one summer in Seattle (it was in a ‘friends’ backyard). I one day years later saw that name in light on my chest. I have also, more than once, had physical changes to my masculine force that is much associated with Shiva. So when my music was getting kind of close to be being on an acceptable level, I legally changed it to that.

According to Shiva's own words:

Originally from Seattle.  Born in Renton near it.  Took a few guitar lessons. Considered Professional bowling, decided to pursue university studies instead. Attended University of Washington, majored in Pre-Law, then Business Administration, then Philosophy.  Senior year accepted at Harvard University. Played the wooden flute and practiced the piano at the university.  But 'guitar' was calling!  Soon moved to near Lake Tahoe, Carson City.  Liked the nude beaches on the east side of Lake Tahoe, but the green grass of 'the Big Easy' Mississippi River, and the thunder and lightning, drew me to Quincy Illinois. Played a few gigs, in Florida, California, and Quincy. Bore down tho to really bring out my music and be worth its love songs. Besides horseback riding, been doing that mostly.  Horseback riding, (another way to have magic in life.) from bareback to jumping to cross country romping, I love the get up and go of it!

Main music influences Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, White Snake, Deep Purple, Chris Isaak, Julio Iglesias, B.B. King, Megadeth, Diana Ross, Motley Crue, Rob Thomas, Ice Cube, Nelly, Alannah Myles, Joan Jett,  and many heavy metal sounds, love metal, the 'blues', Motown, and others.

From research, authored a short book on major religions and animal worship. Another thing; all my music is strictly original.  Authored, composed, and performed by me.

According the Associated Press, Shiva was sentenced in 2010 for one count of misdemeanor cruelty to animals.

1-year probation for man who fed horse hot peppers

QUINCY -- A Quincy man accused of abusing his riding mare by feeding her hot peppers has been sentenced to one year of probation without monitoring.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports that 54-year-old Krishna Shiva received the sentence for one count of misdemeanor cruelty to animals. He pleaded guilty in September. Shiva was accused of riding the 7-year-old mare without shoes on a gravel road, whipping her with a leather strap and force-feeding her hot peppers.

Shiva also must pay a $300 fine and other costs.

Shiva lost ownership of the mare after a forfeiture hearing Sept. 3 in Quincy. The mare, named, Diva, will now be given to a horse rescue facility. Animal welfare officials say she is suffering from a collapsed lung and will never be ridden again.
