The Skyway label was started in 1954. According to Rockin' Country Style, Skyway Records was owned by Herb Shucher. Possibly. Anyway, after 1960, it seems that Miss L.L. (Louise Lewis) was the main force moving this odd Hollywood label.

Miss L.L. & The Three Mice issued Wedding Ring For Christmas / No Cheese On The Christmas Tree Skyway (CA) 45 - 138 the same year But I've never heard it.
ReplyDeleteWhen I had a look I came up with Everett L Whenham as the owner. Both Everett and Louis were prodigious writers with Everett having 60 titles registered with BMI and Louise a whopping 160 all published by Skyway. They've got some strange titles in there "Happy Penguin People", "I Gotta Brand New Daddy" and the classic "Jetting for Jesus".
