That's My Desire

 The Krazy Kords

American Records
EP-45-103
Box 1051, Muncie, Indiana

The Krazy Kords revisiting the classics. Other tunes on this EP are : Malaguena, Return To Me and Ol Man River.  That's My Desire was first recorded in 1931 by Russell Wooding and His Grand Central Red Caps.

You probably want to hear the 3 other songs and also know who were these Krazy Kords ? Yeah, me too.

  1. The American label was probably co-owned by Wayne Raney and Jimmie Zack. Raney had established a recording studio in Oxford, Ohio, in late 1957 and I suspect that he operated a group of different small labels out of that location. These labels include American, New American, Down Home, Poor Boy, and Raney. All these labels were based in Muncie, Indiana, Richmond, Indiana, or Oxford, Ohio (all these places are based in the same Indiana-Ohio border region and are within a 1,5 hour driving radius). I assume Raney was also involved in one release on Norman Walton's Walton label from Richmond, namely #EP 003 featuring the Van Brothers and Norman Walton. This discs shows the publishing rights as by Raney's Oleta Publ.
