Sounds like it was recorded in a warehouse doesn't it? Great song, but then again any song within the chicken genre is a great song in my book. My friend an I once put together a chicken show for his radio show and came up with over 5 hours of chicken music!
Jim Whitlock, the publisher, shows up as one of the writers in the BMI data base. I found a listing for a 45 by a Jim "Cherokee" Whitlock so I suppose he owned the label too.
You find anything out about the Billy Marlan or Doc Holliday? There seems to be a number of Doc Hollidays out there.
